Novel antimicrobials: Due to the paucity of new antibiotics being introduced to the market it has become necessary for the development of novel delivery/formulation methods for existing antibacterial agents as well as the re-assessment of previously rejected agents for therapeutic treatment such as antimicrobial peptides Veterinary Pharmacy : Assessing the interaction of pharmacists with veterinary pharmacy through prescribing, sale, supply and dispensing of veterinary medicines Contact Lenses : Assessment of the hygiene protocols of contact lens users, investigation of the microbial contamination of used contact lenses, in-use contact lens solutions and contact lens cases where applicable. Aseptic Suites : Assessment and control of microbial contamination of Clean Rooms, operators and products produced within these areas. Antibiotic resistance: Assessment of the public understanding of what the terms antibiotic resistance, multi-drug resistant bacteria and therapeutic agents of last resort mean and how mass education can reduce antibiotic resistance.
